ADRIANNE CURY is thrilled to have returned to the stage after several years of focusing primarily on teaching, coaching, & directing. Just prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, she played Sharon in The Roommate for Cardinal Stage in Indiana, and Gertrude in Chicago Shakespeare Project's Hamlet. She teaches at Acting Studio Chicago, and has formerly taught in DePaul TTS, conducted workshops for North Central College, Triton, The Performer’s School, and spent several summers teaching teens on an island in Canada. Acting Credits: Marty in Float (an About Face Theatre world premiere - ensemble Jeff nomination); Jean in David’s Red-Haired Death (Bailiwick-After Dark Award); Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Zebra Crossing; Jeff Citation- Principal); multiple shows with Writers Theatre (Jeff Nom in Two by Shaw-Principal); Famous Door (Dusty in Shrapnel in the Heart-After Dark Award), Touchstone, Drury Lane, and ShawChicago (Mrs Alving
in Ghosts in Konya,Turkey on a MacArthur Grant). Regionally, she’s worked with New American, Artists Ensemble, BoarsHead, The Human Race, and Indiana Rep. Directing Credits: The Taming of the
Shrew (Oak Park Festival); Scoundrel Time and The Thin Man (City Lit); Ravenscroft and Cyclist Attacked by Mountain Lion (Triton College); Sense and Sensibility and Mauritius (Theatre of Western Springs). She’s a long-time member of Actors Equity & SAG.
